Architectural Style

My house design is the Normandy style of architecture. Common features that I used for my house are the circular stair towers as well as the mansard style roof. If I had more time, I would have integrated a cosmetic addition of brick walls. I also incorporated a symmetrical design as Normandy style houses use a large amount of symmetry. Also, if I had more time to work on the project, I would have made the windows more fitting rather than basic square windows.

This design was popular right after the First World War. This design was brought back from France and was meant to appear classical and fancy. I think that the most represented principle within my design was the repetition. The locations of the windows were uniform throughout the house and the stair towers were also repeated on three of the five corners on the house. I think that my house was pretty unique within my class, but if I had to choose one similar it would be the istyle house because it incorporates a large amount of symmetry and it has two stories.
